REDEFINE IT :: there are no failures, just learning experiences. (Shit I might have to fail this one)
DEPERSONALIZE IT :: analyze your mistakes, but you won't learn anything if you're too busy beating yourself up for it.
CHANGE IT :: you know what you did wrong, the hard part is changing your behavior. Be patient and forgiving because change takes time.
MOVE ON :: "Pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start all over again."
-- :: Get over it, and Stay over it :: --
"When we are stuck in the past, we can't move forward." Because once you're over those old defeats, you've got a better chance for new victories."

Finding Your Niche: when thinking about choosing a specialization ask, is it Sizable [Market segment should be distinct, but not too small], Reachable [should be publications, organizations, or events for your specific market- to let them know you exist], Self-defining [potential market should have/feel they have special needs. That is why they want a specialist. Specialists also typically charge higher prices]

Embracing Change
Changes Takes Time. Change is a process, not an immediate outcome. It takes one year for a change to become a habit.
Stages:
1 CONTEMPLATE: You start thinking about your goals, but still seems unachievable.
2 RE-FRAME: You start saying, "This is going to happen. I can make this work"
3 PLAN: Convert desires into specific, realistic actions you can take.
4 COMMIT:You make a real commitment to your goals + plans.
5 TRY + FAIL: You begin to make changes but are inconsistent; you fall back into old patterns.
6 RECOMMIT: You remind yourself of your goals, your plan, and your belief that you are capable of success. You start again.
7 HABIT: You consistently change your behavior!!
Turning Failure into Success: "Change how you think about failure."
"Sometimes, 'failures' turn out to be fortunate; force you to re-examine your goals, decisions + methods. To be able to then choose to take a different-better-path/deal."

Seizing Opportunities
While we wait for success to fall in our laps, real life keeps trudging along. If we want things to be different, we must learn to recognize opportunities + seize them; we have to do something.
WE KEEP WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO RESCUE US WHILE MISSING OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP OURSELVES.
Be an active participant in your own transformation.
Make a Plan: Vision achievements wanted, develop plan for reality. Developing a plan gives you a framework for making decisions.
Get Accustomed to Making Decisions: Can't act on every good idea.
Recognize That the "Perfect" Solution is never going to just come along (or do they? Sometimes.) Life doesn't offer perfection, it offers chances. (Poker! Don't get what you don't put in.)
Get out of your "Comfort Zone": (Hear this all the time. This is why mommy left Korea) if it's not bringing you the results you want, Change! is a must, and it's not comfortable.
Make a commitment: GET USED TO SAYING NO. GET USED TO SAYING YES. WHATEVER, JUST AS LONG AS YOU DO IT WITH COMMITMENT + CONVICTION.

Commit yourself to the turn.
As you make a change in your business life, indeed any part of your life, FOLLOW THROUGH SUFFICIENTLY to give it a chance to succeed. Give your new direction ENOUGH ENERGY and COMMITMENT to CREATE THE MOMENTUM to CARRY YOU through the inevitable rough spots. COMMIT YOURSELF TO THE TURN.
Guidelines for Goals:
MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE GOALS ARE: Well-defined, Quantifiable, Time-bounded.
BE REALISTIC, GIVEN THE MANY DEMANDS ON YOUR ENERGIES
TRANSLATE THOSE GOALS INTO ACHIEVABLE SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVES
PUT THE EMPHASIS ON GOALS WITHIN YOUR CONTROL RATHER THAN THOSE DETERMINED BY THE ACTIONS OF OTHERS
LIST WHEN YOU WILL: Re-evaluate your goals, measure progress, and set new objectives.
PUT LIMITS ON GOALS: TIME, CALLS, EFFORTS, TRIALS.
REWARD YOURSELF WHEN YOU ACCOMPLISH GOALS. Who else will acknowledge your achievements, but you.

Choosing the Right Business
Turning Dreams into Reality- There is day dreaming, imagining throughout the day, then visiting what the future might look like. Use it, all, your HOPES + DREAMS as a TARGET.
Dreams can be an escape from reality or a foundation for a New Reality- Can't change your life unless you can imagine a new reality.
"Discipline of Dreams"
Clarify them, evaluate them, and move them from the stage of imagination to action.
"Dream Scale"
FANTASY concepts which are impossible to achieve + highly unrealistic
DREAM concepts which are potentially achievable but where only the positive aspects are seen
VISION concepts which are achievable at a stage where the downsides + difficulties come into focus. At this stage, you are willing to challenge your assumptions. You are not afraid to understand the costs, limitations, and work required, as well as your chances of success. And for those who are going to be successful, this feels like just the beginning. (Sigh, Heck yea. Just a little overwhelming)
GOALS A specific realistic objective. At this stage you give yourself Clear, Practical Targets for achieving your vision. You understand how much you can -and cannot- achieve, you begin to put numbers + dates to your ambitions.
PLANS A step-by-step outline of how you are going to achieve your goals. This is where you determine how to make your vision a reality. LIST ACTIONS ITEMS, MILESTONES, and ACTIVITIES. And then go to work!
Priorities need time to play itself out.

Business Concept II
What do you really want to do? Am I lucky because I know exactly what business I want to pursue?
What you've done. I've already the experience, which is also the most comfortable transition to self-employment. Existing contacts, Potential Customers targeted, and I know the market and industry and maintain strong referral sources.
Your Hobbies and Interest. Why take something that's now a source of pleasure and potentially turn it into a source of stress?
Who do you know? Whoever it is, Be cautious, and make certain you like the kind of work your going into and whenever you inter into a relationship, put the details in writing.
What your good at. Why not use your skills? You may be the person your neighbors turn to for helping installing electronic equipment or decorating their homes. Perhaps there's a business opportunity there if many others in your community need the same type of assistance.
A Market Opportunity. Look around for what's missing in your community, industry, or profession that you may be able to provide Is it available locally? Do big company's neglect or leave this line of business that I can serve.
What you want to learn. One good way to learn something is to Start A Business Doing It, on the job.
